Preserve and retrieve original file versions

Replace an attachment without losing earlier originals used as evidence in service, inspections or packages.

How to use it

  1. Open Documents and select the record. Review its current attachment before editing.
  2. Edit the document, choose the replacement file and optionally enter File version change description. Save the document to create a new original version.
  3. Open the record’s version history to inspect earlier originals. Download the authorized original version you need; changing the current file does not rewrite earlier evidence.
  4. When selecting inspection or package evidence, check the chosen version and compare its bytes/content with the source you intended.
  5. If a version is unavailable, refresh status and check household access. Deleting the document also deletes its preserved version history; keep an independent copy of irreplaceable files.

Available with core home records on all plans. Record, storage and processing allowances apply; household roles determine editing access.
