Read, organize and search document content

Keep original paperwork while preparing searchable readings and reviewing suggested fields separately.

How to use it

  1. Upload a supported file in Documents. Set its document type and related item, system or maintenance record as appropriate. Use Review organization to compare possible duplicates and project associations before accepting a suggestion.
  2. Open its content reading controls. Request reading when available; if prompted to capture browser text, open the original and follow that capture step.
  3. Wait for ready status. A queued, unavailable, failed or truncated reading does not establish complete searchable contents. Compare extracted text with the preserved original.
  4. Use signed-in Search to find authorized prepared document content. Metadata remains searchable independently; unsupported or unread originals may not have full-text results.
  5. Open document processing suggestions separately. Review the proposed fields, dates, amounts and associations before applying supported changes. A suggestion is not an approved invoice or a second expense.
  6. If reading is unavailable, check file support, permissions and service configuration. Retry the existing reading/job rather than uploading a duplicate original. OCR and optional AI depend on operator configuration and plan allowances.

Available with core home records on all plans. Record, storage and processing allowances apply; household roles determine editing access.
