Building a Home
Carry construction records into handover and warranty care
Review the completion evidence, preserve permanent home records and continue warranty work after move-in.
How to use it
- Open Home records & handover and review installed equipment, final plans, inspection results, documents and walkthrough records. Check open tasks and missing evidence before accepting completion.
- Record installation details and request equipment verification. Verified equipment can synchronize into permanent home systems with installation, warranty and source-document details.
- Review accepted as-built designs and the linked property and floor plans. Keep originals, manuals and documented maintenance needs with the permanent records.
- Download the home package summary when useful. Review its contents; this construction summary is separate from the reviewed Insurance Preparation and Home Handover packages in Export.
- Review each Closeout requirement with a shared document or a reason why it does not apply. Unfinished stages, tasks, reviews, equipment synchronization and missing documents prevent handover. Only accept handover after checking the record. Acceptance records identity and preserves the construction package; it does not transfer legal property ownership.
- After handover, owners can review conversion of a New Build into a standard home. Confirm the permanent name and available standard home slot. The same home keeps its records and builder permissions.
- Use Warranty care to record requests and track review, scheduling, work, resolution and closure. Keep an authorized builder involved as needed, or remove access while preserving construction history.
Active construction collaboration requires the household’s Ark+ entitlement. Household roles and builder permissions still apply. Existing history is preserved when access changes.
